D-Lead^® Paint Test Kit

The Klean-Strip^® D-Lead^® Paint Test Kit (patent pending) is EPA Recognized and ETV Tested to detect lead and lead chromate in all layers of paint with a color change in 13 minutes or less. Simply compare the solution to the color swatch on the bottle for easy-to-read results. The Kit is EPA Recognized for use on drywall, plaster, wood and ferrous metal surfaces. It will also determine if EPA regulated lead based paint is not present.

Directions for use

READ DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS (IN KIT) PRIOR TO USE:

1. Clean tools and sample area with a D-Wipe^® Towel.
2. Collect paint sample using the enclosed Sampling Tool.
3. Transfer sample to bottle of Solution 1 using Sample Catch Sheet.
4. Cap and shake bottle for 10 seconds.
5. Add 5 drops Solution 2; cap and shake 10 seconds.
6. If liquid is darker than Test Standard, test is positive for Lead.
7. If liquid is lighter, wait 10 minutes, shake and compare to Test Standard:
   • If liquid is lighter than Test standard, test is negative.
   • If liquid is darker than Test Standard, test is positive for Lead.
8. After a test is done, pour used Paint Test Solution 1 into waste absorbent. Then add to the Waste Disposal Bag the open bottle and cap, used D-Wipe^® Towel and Sample Catch Sheet.
9. Record Results.

STORAGE: Store out of direct sunlight and away from extreme heat. Store unopened kit below 122°F (50°C). After opening the kit, store at temperatures below 90°F (32°C). If solutions freeze, allow to thaw before use.
